Upgrading your NIOB Membership

The goal of most of those who join the institute is to reach the corprate grade of “member”. This qualification is validated by a thorough examination of a candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, and is therefore recognised throughout the world as proof of expertise.

The other lower grades are really intermediate stages on the way to the CIOB badge, and we encourage our associated and incorporated applicants to regard them as a means of gaining the skills and experience needed to reach chartered status, rather than ends in themselves.

If you're already CIOB and have worked at a senior level in the industry for at least ten years and made significant contribution to the advancement of building development in Nigeria then you could be suitable for Fellowship or FNIOB. This is the highest grade of membership at the NIOB.
